Obituary

Elizabeth "Beth" Helen (McKay) Teeuwen, born April 3rd, 1949, died on December 26th, 2021. A widow at her death, she was married to Paul until his passing in October 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents: George and Myrtle McKay of Alexandria. Beth is survived by her brother: Bill McKay; and her two children: Stephanie (Paul) Drange and Christopher (Cecilia) Teeuwen. She had 5 adoring grandchildren: Noah (12), Carlos (12), George (10), Elsa (8), and Jack (6). Beth will always be remembered for her quick wit, generous spirit, and never-ending honesty. She enjoyed working as a social worker for Douglas County and her travels in retirement that followed. She would not want us to travel in this cold winter weather, so a celebration of her life will be held in May 2022.

FARGO, N.D. - Charles “Chuck” Purdy Jr., 72, Alexandria, Minn., died Friday, Dec. 17, in Sanford Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Alexandria. Interment will be in Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls, Minn.

Dean Robert Beach, Jr.

Jacksonville – Dean Robert Beach Jr., 70, died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, NC.

The family received visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC.

Dean served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 23 years. He joined the Corps in 1969 at the age of 17. He served in Vietnam, Operation Eagle Claw and Dessert Storm. Her retired as a CWO4

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Dean Beach Sr. and Alice Vigen Beach; and brother, Scott Beach.

Dean is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia “Ginny” Howe Beach; children, Erica Guay (Sylvain), Ryan Beach (April), and Tucker Beach (Stefaine); grandchildren, Jenny Muir (Michael), Conner Morse, Khiley Beach, Ryan Beach Jr., Clark Beach, Alice Beach, Layth Beach; great-grandchildren, Lucian Beach-Muir and Valkyrie Muir; siblings, Dale Beach (Jeanie), Linda Beach, and Eleanor Beach; and sister-in-law, Barbara Beach.
